Get images being automatically linked to related patient forms has been an outstanding progress by OrthoWave™ and remains as one of its major features... From the patient form, simply click on any image stored anywhere on a hard disk, be it a radiograph or a colored picture, to get it instantaneously added to all other records of the given Patient. This image can be defined by key words, for easy search, and eventually scaled, modified and enhanced through the PictIn graphic module that allows for direct on-screen measurements.
All images from the Hip and Knee Databases are displayed in the Call Image™ module, which is the image catalog of OrthoWave™. Any sort can be defined upon follow-up periods or component or view selections. The multicriteria search allows for immediate display of images of interest for any study. Clicking on any image opens the link to related clinical data and latest scores. Naturally, slide shows can be obtained for any selection or sub selection. Any image can be exported as a jpg file or printed as well.
Some promising ongoing developments are currently on trails, such as a direct link between OrthoWave™ and any global radiologic system as DICOM, or other types of shared databases… This kind of direct acquisition would prevent from scanning or shooting x-rays before storing them in the Databases... In addition, a pathway between OrthoWave™ and OrthoView™ has been envisioned in a close future, and will make OrthoWave take advantage of this famous top software devoted to preop planning.
Input videos or any other type of document can immediately be done, for linking them to any Arthroplasty form, via the 'External Documents' menu item. These documents can be shown thanks to a direct launch of related applications, namely Media Player™ or Quick time™.
