All statistics directly available: Any data, be they continuous or categorical, from either the Hip or Knee databases are directly linked to StatWave™, as the statistical module of OrthoWave™. Descriptive statistics (1 single variable), Group Comparisons (A single variable analyzed in two different cohorts), Cross Correlations (2 variables in the same cohort), Survival Analyses (one cohort or comparison between 2 cohorts), or again Map of Radiographic Patterns can be performed upon the whole population, or through a multicriteria selection of samples. For each analysis, tables and charts are displayed upon various modes. The User can get the choice of reformatting the various tables.
StatWave™ facilitates preparation of Manuscripts and Lectures, allowing to export automatically tables and charts, either as .csv or .jpg files, or for some of them directly to Excel™ and Power Point™. Each result of the ongoing study can be automatically and temporarily stored in a “notepad” which can be exported as a Word document as a final step of the study…
Statistical tests can be immediately available: For Cross Correlations, Group Comparisons and Kaplan-Meier Survival Analyses, related statistical tests, i.e. chi square, Anova, non-parametric tests, t-tests, logrank, Mantel-Haenszel, and others are displayed and provide the current p.values… However great attention must be paid to a right selection of cohorts and choice of variables.
